A Ferrari 458 convertible is not what you’d call a cheap car. When new, these Italian masterpieces cost around $260,000. But for a moment, just imagine paying that price… and yet only covering the cost of your car’s optional extras.
Sound ridiculous? For one Pagani Huayra supercar owner, this is a very real situation and they have the “over $260,000” bill to prove it. However, all it takes is one glance to see it was all worth it, and then some. This gorgeous 2014 Pagani Huayra is that special car and on March 12 it will cross the RM Sotheby’s auction block in Amelia Island, Florida. Expectedly, it won’t come cheap.

Of its own accord, the standard Huayra is quite the special craft. The Italian thoroughbred boasts four active aerodynamic flaps to keep its wheels pressed firmly into the pavement, a 6.0-liter Mercedes-AMG V12 engine, and a seven-speed automated manual capable of launching the 720 horsepower supercar up to speeds of 238 mph. Zero to 60 mph? That takes three seconds.
But what makes Pagani Automobili special is its readiness to create a truly one-of-one car for its customers, as evidenced by the one-off Zonda 760LM and F1 ace Lewis Hamilton’s Zonda LH. This Huayra separates itself from the crowd with its sleek custom exterior, dressed in stunning “Blue Argentina” paint and accented by a gold side stripe and bare blue carbon fiber weave. Inside, the Huayra’s interior is a perfectly executed and meticulously arranged mix of cream leather, grey Alcantara, aluminum, and even more navy carbon fiber.

While it’s hard to believe, the Pagani Huayra has enough interior storage space to accept a full seven-piece luggage set, which this car has indeed come optioned with. The price? About $20,000. That luggage is unlikely to have had much usage, however. The supercar has only traveled 400 miles in its short lifetime.
Only 100 original Pagani Huayras exist in this world, of which this car is number 62. And while an all-new track-centric “BC” model will be revealed next month, any Huayra is better than no Huayra.
