Movember is upon us once again. Not only are men from around the world now reaching the 10th day of growing a lovely upper lip cover, but it’s also time to bring awareness to prostate cancer – a real life issue that affects one in every eight men.
To help extend the message of Movember (and keep people fashionable), Canadian’s favourite sock maker McGregor has introduced special Movember socks, built for any occasion: from the boardroom to the backwoods. This month, Madaline and I took a trip up to Lake Simcoe to a beautiful property on HomeAway called “Lil’ Cottage Mexico” – a place where tiki huts mix with cottage living. Fall can be a chilly on the lake, which means my lakefront weekend was spent between these flashy, yellow and blue striped socks in the daytime, and the Weekender editions for a warmer evening.
The McGregor Weekender also comes in a variety of flavours to keep your feet warm this winter. In wool, options range from grey with a black stripe, the classic grey with a red stripe, and my personal favourite, the blue wool work sock. The cotton comfort socks feel really good on the toes, and come in holiday inspired dark red and green, and patterned brown with a touch of green.
You can buy McGregor Weekender socks, including the Movember edition, at The Bay and basic pairs for $10 on Amazon.
